Pago Florentino Tinto

Notes - This winery in Malagon, Ciudad Real, is a an off-shoot of Bodegas Arzuaga in Ribera del Duero. The Pago Florentino is a new project in La Mancha. The 2005 Pago Florentino is an estate bottled wine composed of 100% Cencibel, the local name for Tempranillo. It was aged for 12 months in new and used French and American oak. The wine has a blueish red colour. The nose is packed with strawberries, black cherries, confit fruit and chocolate notes. These aromas follow through to the palate which is rich, full of black fruit, vanilla and has very good tannin structure. A very modern wine.
