Notes - Uribes Madero is one of the exclusive Castilla-La Mancha wineries belonging to the recently-formed (2003), quality-orientated association, Grandes Pagos (Great Estates) de Espaņa.The Estate of Uribes Madero is the result of the marriage and partnership of Francisco Uribes and Celia Madero. Francisco, an architect, runs the business and Celia, a pharmacist, is the oenologist. Their love and pasion for wine has led them to invest heavily in viticulture and wine-making in their finca, Calzadilla. Produced from 100% Syrah, hand-picked and selected. Controlled yields of 1-1.5 kilos/vine from their 3 hectare vineyard. Aged 6 months in French oak Radoux cooper casks of 300 litres. Black cherry with purple rim, balanced fruit aromas, very rich, soft and rounded berry fruit, very full on palate, rich tannins, spicy, herbal tones, bug structure, long and lingering. 13% Vol. Total production 6,000 bottles.
