The Bolivar Tubos No 3 are a very handy, small, tasty slim panatela, the smallest cigar that Bolivar produces. The Bolivar style is to produce cigars which are among the strongest, most full bodied of all Havanas.
Bolivar Cigars was founded in 1902 and is named after Simon Bolivar, the 18th century revolutionary who liberated much of South America from Spanish Rule. The brand was established in 1902 by José F. Rocha, though the brand was not registered in Havana (Cuba) until 1921 under the ownership of Rocha’s firm, J.F. Rocha y Cia. The Bolivar brand is based at the Partagas factory where both brands are now made. The tobacco is a blend of Vuelta Abajo filler and binder tobaccos that makes it one of the most sought-after marques amongst experienced smokers. All sizes of Bolivar are ‘tripa larga, totalmente a mano,’ – long filler, totally handmade.
Bolivar Tubos No 3 cigars are a powerful, spicy and full-flavoured smoke with a memorably long finish. Perhaps not a cigar for beginners. Great with a strong coffee but also great with heavier dark spirits such as rum or a smoke-y whisky.
These are ideal when time is short, perhaps when out for a quick walk. Smoking time is around 20 to 30 minutes.
Presented in an aluminium tube.
