Description

Domaine Jones Vineyard Collection Muscat 2024 is an extremely limited bottling from Katie Jones. In fact, this could be the first and last bottling of this dry Muscat. At our 2025 Domaine Jones Wine Tasting & Dinner, Katie said she would be grubbing up this parcel of Muscat vines as they were extremely labour-intensive: only 820 bottles of wine were produced from 1 hectare of vines!

Domaine Jones Vineyard Collection Muscat

This is a delicious, refreshing Muscat made from the most aromatic type of Muscat, a small berry grape variety called Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains. This grape variety more often made into sweet, dessert wines, like Vin de Constance, for example.

This is a dry version. Vinification is in stainless steel. Katie says, “I’m not usually a fan of dry Muscat, but this really is an exception.”

Domaine Jones, Established 2008

Domaine Jones is owned and run by Katie Jones. Katie was the Sales and Marketing Director for the Mont Tauch co-operative in the Languedoc-Roussillon for nearly twenty years until she fell in love with a small 3.5 hectare vineyard in the Maury Valley in 2007. Katie acquired the vineyard, called La Sanayre Est, in 2008.

Since then, Katie has quietly been collecting neglected, low-yielding, old vine vineyards around the village of Tuchan. She has plantings of all sorts of grape varieties, including Grenache Gris, Carignac Gris, Muscat, Macabeu for the white wines and Grenache Noir, Syrah, Carignan and Lledoner Pelut A.K.A. Hairy Grenache.

Traditional Farming, Innovative Winemaking

The wine-making philosophy at Domaine Jones is to employ traditional, down-to-earth farming methods and innovative winemaking techniques to capture the characteristics of the terroir and the local area. The wines are only produced in tiny quantities, in some cases, the odd barrel or two; this truly is boutique wine-making. Katie’s wines have a surprising purity and freshness, due to the relatively high altitude of the vineyards, which is unusual for wines from this area.
