Delivery

There is no minimum delivery but please be aware delivery charges apply to all orders.

There is a case discount of 5% on orders of 1 case (12 bottles or 9L equivalent) or more of wine but not spirits – cases can be mixed.

As well as online wine orders we can also take orders and payment over the phone on 01329 822733. Over the telephone we can accept Visa, Mastercard, Visa Debit and American Express.

Delivery Charges

We send our orders with APC’s “Handled With Care” Service.

Providing item(s) are physically in stock in our shop, the order is placed and payment it received before 1pm, orders will be sent out same day. Includes packaging as required.

Delivery before 12am – £7.50 surcharge

8. Delivery to Europe

  1. We can deliver to most European Countries.
  2. Please telephone 01329 822733 or email info@farehamwinecellar.co.uk, delivery charges vary for each country and also depend upon quantity ordered.
  3. All wines are repacked in polystyrene air-freight type packaging for overseas orders.

9. Delivery to the United States of America

Due to US regulations wine can only be delivered to a recipient with an Export / Import Liquor License. Alternatively there are specialist companies that will organise collection in the UK and onward delivery to the US on the customer’s behalf.

10. Rest of the World

  2. All wines are repacked in polystyrene air-freight type packaging for overseas orders.
  3. All and any customs charges at destination are for the account of the buyer.   There are many countries we cannot ship to because of restrictive duties or customs regulations – examples include Canada, India, Russia, Saudi Arabia and many others.  We reserve the right to refuse any shipment to any country if regulations to not permit us to ship to those destinations.  If you are located in a country to which we cannot ship then you will receive a full refund to your card as soon as possible.

11. UK Delivery Terms and Conditions

We strongly recommend the following:

  1. Deliveries need to be signed for.
  2. Use a work address for delivery if possible. This saves having to wait in all day for a delivery.
  3. You may give alternative instructions for parcels to be left at your own risk in a porch, garage, back door etc. without a signature. You must specify this and only consider it if you feel it is safe to do so. This is at the customers own risk. It is preferable, if possible, for the delivery to be left with a neighbour. There is a text box which can be filled in during the ordering process with any special instructions.
  4. If the delivery is to be sent to as a gift or to another recipient, please send to their work address or, if possible, let them know to expect a delivery. We also need full contact details.

12. If you are not in

  1. APC will only deliver to the address specified by the sending customer and cannot vary this without permission. If nobody is available to accept delivery they will leave an attempted to delivery card with details of the local depot for you to contact to re-arrange delivery to the same address on a different working day. They may also try to leave the parcel with neighbours.
  2. Please note that we are not able to guarantee delivery at a specific time. You also have the option of collecting the item from your local depot. You will need to bring the attempted delivery card that the couriers left and one additional form of identification (such as a driving licence or household bill) bearing the address that the item was sent to.
  3. If the parcel is not left with neighbours please telephone the number of your local depot written on the ‘attempted to deliver’ card quoting the consignment number and they will be happy to re-arrange delivery to the same address on a different working day. Please note that we are not able to guarantee delivery at a specific time of day.
  4. If you prefer to collect from a local depot please contact your local depot. Telephone them to verify that the item has arrived back in the depot before going to collect it and to check opening hours. You will need to bring the card they left and one additional form of identification (such as a driving licence or household bill) bearing the address that the item was sent to.

13. Delivery Times

For deliveries to the majority of the UK, APC deliver on the next working day after the item was sent (this may vary in some rural locations). When an item is booked with APC, the sender will specify delivery from our range of services. This is normally for delivery by 09:00, 10:00, 12:00 or 16:00 on the next working day (Mon-Fri). Delivery will be attempted between 08.00 and the selected delivery time. A Saturday morning service is available to most areas for which a premium is charged. 14. Non Delivery or Collection from Depot

If a customer does not call the local APC delivery depot after 3 days the parcel will be returned to us, the cost of which will be passed on to the customer. To re-send a parcel a further delivery charge will be made. The customer will be liable for the original delivery charge.

15. Disclaimer

Whilst we make every effort to deliver all your goods in the agreed time, we will not be liable if we fail to do so in part or in full due to circumstances beyond our control. Although the service offered with APC is “overnight”, nothing is 100% guaranteed.
