Adoro Natural Sweet Mourvedre is a natural sweet red wine that was created by Adoro wines specifically to go with cheese. Adoro wines is a relatively new South African wine company formed in 2004. It was formed by winemaker Ian Naudé and viticulturist Lucas de Kock who met whilst working for a famous Stellenbosch winery. They do not own their own vineyards but have close working relationships with high quality grape growers who supply their grapes. The grapes for this wine are sourced from in Swartland where the warm climate allows the growers to fully ripen their grapes (the 2009 vintage came form the Riebeecksig Estate 2009). The residual sugar is 55 g/L, so it is not the sweetest of wines, but very good it is too! This is superb alternative to Port and other fortified wines.
