2012 is Fareham Wine Cellar’s 21st Anniversary year, and it just so happens to coincide with our biennial Portfolio Wine Tasting. Please fine details of the tasting below. I will add more details as we finalise them. There will be over 150 wines available for tasting.

To Begin
Pea and mint soup served with crispy croutons
Portabello mushroom with courgettes and cherry tomatoes baked with Lyburn smoked cheese
Thinly sliced smoked duck breast with a fennel, walnut and spring onion salad
Trio of home cured gravlax, smoked mackerel and crayfish tails with a wedge of lemon
A mix of Iberico salami, chorizo sausage and thinly sliced Parma ham, served with baby gherkins and crusty bread
To Follow
Roast fillet of pork with roasted yellow peppers, red onion confit, dauphinoise potatoes and red wine sauce
Fillet of salmon set on a base of crushed new potatoes, creamed leeks roasted cherry tomatoes with a sorrel flavoured white wine sauce
Chicken breast grilled over charcoal,with sautéed fennel, celeriac and spring onions, set on a base of horseradish mashed potatoes and served with a chive and red wine sauce
Sirloin steak grilled over charcoal served with pan fried mushroom, tomato and hand cut chips
Fillet of haddock pan fried with sun dried orange zest, set on a base of olive oil mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms, finished with a creamy seed mustard sauce
A selection of New Forest wild mushrooms, asparagus and courgettes served in a pastry case with a port wine sauce
All served with a selection of fresh vegetables
To Finish
Hot toffee and date pudding with a fudge sauce and whipped cream
Meringue shell with whipped cream, passion fruit curd and fresh strawberries
Dark chocolate tart served with Lysses vanilla ice cream
Iced banana and praline parfait with a dark chocolate and crème anglais sauce
Light and delicate raspberry cheesecake with a raspberry and vanilla sauce
