Mackmyra Brukswhisky is a new Single Malt Swedish Whisky from their distillery in Mackmyra Bruk. Mackmyra was founded by in 1999 by eight classmates from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm with the first commercial whisky coming on stream in 2002. Made from only local ingredients without any additives. Mackmyra Brukswhisky is aged for softness and elegance in old Bourbon casks and is then finished in a mixture of large and small casks – Sherry casks for richness and a touch of freshness from Swedish Oak. There is also a hint of juniper smokiness. A well-balanced whisky, light and with fruity character.
