Scallywag Blended Malt Scotch Whisky is a small batch blended Whisky made by Douglas Laing & Co Ltd.

Douglas Laing & Co Ltd are a specialist independent whisky blender and bottler with over 65 years in the business. The company was founded in 1948 Fred Douglas Laing in 1948 and is now run by his son and granddaughter, Fred Junior and Cara.

The Scallywag Blended Speyside Malt Scotch Whisky is a blend of Malt Whiskies from famous Speyside distilleries, including Mortlach, Glenrothes and Macallan aged in Bourbon casks and finished in old Spanish Sherry butts. 40% of which are first fill Sherry butts which imparts really sweet, spicy character to the blend. This no age statement whisky is bottled at 46% alcohol strength, traditionally without colouring or chill-filtration. The label features a drawing a monocled Fox Terrier which is based upon the Laing Family’s single-toothed Fox Terrier called Binks. Sadly Binks, the original “Scallywag” has since passed away and all terrier duties have now been handed over to the Laing’s new terrier, Cooper.
