Rafael Gonzales Perla cigars are a small format, lighter flavoured Havana cigar.
Rafael Gonzales is one of the pre-revolution cigar brands. Originally known as La Flor de Marquez, it was created in the 1930’s and its cigars contain a light tasting blend of filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo zone. The brand was originally created with the UK market in mind, and the cigars are made in the Romeo y Julieta factory. The Perla is a recent addition to the range and was added in 2011.
The Perla cigar size, a Tres Petit Corona, is normally considered a lighter, shorter cigar and is perfect for an everyday cigar, or for a daytime smoke or as an aperitif. This is the same size as the Cohiba Siglo 1 and will smoke for around 20 to 30 minutes. Perfect for beginners.
This excellently constructed, little cigar is characterised by creamy and woody aromas with hints of spice and coffee.
