This is a selection of some of our favourite wines from the excellent Western Australian producer Churchview Estate. This 6 bottle selection contains wines from their Silverleaf, St Johns and Bartondale. This included the excellent value Silverleaf Sparkling wine and three wines from the St Johns including their Bordeaux style blend and a Zinfandel. The selection is finished off by two wines from the Bartondale range including the fabulous Bartondale Cabernet Sauvignon.

Churchview Estate Silverleaf Sparkling Brut NV

A Lovely sparkling wine with aromas of pink lady apples, figs and honeyed brioche. The flavour matches the aromas with fresh apples and figs complimented by the slight toasty brioche character

Churchview Estate St Johns Wild Fermented Viognier

Distinctly aromatic ripe apple bouquet that immediately attracts your attention. Underlying this is prominent spices and honeysuckle fragrance that is complemented by subtle oak nuances. 

Churchview Estate The Bartondale Chardonnay

Intensely aromatic with freshly squeezed lemon and lime overlaying freshly baked turron. This aroma is complexed with some toasty notes and almond meal. A flavoursome Chardonnay. The palate is fresh with lemon and lime leading the way. This wine has many layers of flavour underlying the bright fruits – the savoury almond meal adds definition and the fresh citrus acidity keeps it all nice and fresh.

Churchview Estate St Johns Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Merlot

Fragrant, though restrained bouquet of plummy dark fruits. A compelling mixture of very ripe black cherry and black plums, and underlying dark chocolate. This overlays a fine smoky oak fragrance.  This is a very youthful, tightly woven wine that reveals its core of black fruit flavours that are intense, striking and demand attention. The flavours slowly evolve with ample, firm tannins dominating a dry, full-bodied very long finish.

Churchview Estate St Johns Zinfandel, Margaret River

A very concentrated complex bouquet of black fruits (plums, black cherry, prunes). Underlying the powerful dark fruit bouquet are hints of liquorice, spice and vanilla oak scents, which create an unforgettable mix of nasal experience. Bold, rich and powerful mix of dark fruits fills the mouth. an intense wine full of black forest fruits and integrated oak. this wine has a long, lingering finish with spicy undertones of dusty sweet vanilla oak.

Churchview Estate The Bartondale Cabernet Sauvignon

The fragrance of this wine is of pronounced black fruits and berries – black cherries, mulberry, blackcurrant and black plum.  The use of high quality oak barriques adds an undertone of the scents of toasty oak. The palate shows the richness and the power of very high quality, low cropped Cabernet Sauvignon fruit grown organically on the Estate specifically for this wine.  It is generous, full bodied and has a core of dense powerful fruit that melds new oak with abundant level of tannins.  The mouthfeel is a complex combination of intense black fruit, new oak and fine ripe tannins that are balanced and five a very intense long finish.
