The Montecristo Petit Tubos Cigar is a petit corona sized cigar and shares exactly the same dimensions as the untubed Montecristo No 4. The Montecristo No4 is one of the best selling Cuban cigars. Technically speaking these are the same cigars, but tubed, however some say that the flavours develop differently, more slowly and with deeper aromas.
Montecristo is one of the most famous of all the Cuban Cigar brands. It takes its name from Alex Dumas’ famous book “The Count of Montecristo” which was a favourite when it was read to the cigar rollers, or Torcedores, whilst they worked. The factory was founded in 1935 and they make two ranges of cigars, the Linea Clasica and the new Open Range. The Clasica range is a classic medium to full bodied range of cigars, whilst the Open range is a little lighter in style.
Montecristo cigars are a perfectly balanced blend of selected tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo which produces a medium to full flavour with a distinguished aroma. The Montecristo Petit Tubos Cigar is a perfect size when time it tight but you want to enjoy the full flavours of a Montecristo and reflects the current trend for shorter cigars. These are well constructed cigar with an excellent draw. These are medium to full bodied cigars dominated by earthy, nutty and woody flavours and aromas.
Presented individually in a cedar lined aluminium tube.
