Romeo Y Julieta Wide Churchill cigars are the fourth Romeo Y Julieta vitola (the particular size and shape of a cigar) to bear the Churchill name. Launched in the UK in 2012 it joins the the original Romeo y Julieta Churchills from the 1950s, the Short Churchill cigars, which were released in 2006 and the Petit Churchills, the shortest of the lot.

Romeo Y Julieta cigars was founded in 1875 and the brand is named after Shakespeare’s doomed lovers. Romeo Y Julieta grew into an internationally renowned brand under the stewardship of Don “Pepin” Fernandez who was one of the first to recognise the power of the cigar band and product branding. Their cigars were a favourite of Winston Churchill and the Romeo Y Julieta Churchill is named after him.

The dimensions of the Romeo Y Julieta Wide Churchill are unique amongst Havana cigars and reflect the modern trend for thicker, shorter, cigars. An ideal cigar for those who appreciate heavy ring gauges and the balanced and aromatic blend that has become synonymous with the Romeo y Julieta name.
