Primeros Escurio Cigars are a Petit Panatela, a handmade small cigar perfect for when time is at a premium. Handmade in the Dominican Republic. This is a sweet and spicy blend including Brazilian and Dominican tobaccos with an Ecuadorian wrapper.
The Primeros range consists of Dominican, Nicaraguan, Maduro and these Escurio cigars. They make a perfect short smoke.
Davidoff Cigars is a premium brand of luxury cigars which is headquartered in Basel, Switzerland. They own two cigar factories, one located in the Dominican Republic and one in Honduras, which produce a wide range of cigars made from tobacco grown in the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Brazil, Peru, Mexico, Ecuador, Honduras, and the United States of America.
Davidoff’s most famous cigars include the Aniversario, Signature and Winston Churchill ranges of cigars. Each range is well-known for its distinct flavour profiles and exceptional craftsmanship. Above these are also the ultra-premium ranges such as Grand Cru and Late Hour.
The Davidoff brand was founded by Zino Davidoff, the “King of Cigars” in 1946 in Switzerland when he released his first cigar, the “Chateau Latour”. By the 1960s, Zino was held in such high regard that the Cuban government itself approached him to produce a range of cigars from Cuban tobacco. Eventually, the brand would grow to include pipe tobacco, cigarettes, humidors and a range of luxury accessories. Zino’s philosophy of “smoke less but better” and his zest for life continue to define the Davidoff brand.
Like its bigger relative, the Davidoff Escurio Robusto, this is a blend of Ecuadorian Havana seed grown wrapper and Brazilian Cubra binder. The filler is Mata Fina and Cubra from Brazil and San Vincente, Piloto and Olor from the Dominican Republic.
The Davidoff Primeros range is a little treat. A small luxury cigar, perfect if you only have a quick quarter of an hour to spare or perhaps as a sampler before buying one of the larger cigars.
The Davidoff Primeros Escurio Cigar delivers a medium-strength, spicy-sweet smoking experience inspired by Brazilian tobaccos. It begins with an intriguing burst of chili pepper and creamy sweetness, followed by mid-smoke notes of oak, licorice, salt, and leather, with earthy and woody undertones. The final third introduces coffee and chili chocolate for a complex, rich finish. Its vibrant aroma blends earth, leather, chili, and subtle wood, creating a dynamic and engaging smoke.
Try these elegant, small cigars with an aged, smooth rum like Pusser’s 15 Year Old, or with a Malbec, like Trapiche 1883 Malbec, enhancing the cigar’s spicy-sweet, coffee and woody notes.
