Salcombe Gin Voyagers Series Mischief by Mark Hix is a limited edition gin. It is a limited edition of 1200 bottles developed in collaboration with celebrated chef, restaurateur and food writer Mark Hix MBE to commemorate the 10th anniversary of HIX restaurants.
The co-founders of the Salcombe Distillery Co. Angus and Howard first met whilst working as sailing instructors and found that they shared, not only a love of sailing, but also a good gin and tonic. After a few diversions Angus and Howard met up again in 2014 and decided it would be good idea to produce a gin, the Island Street location was secured and the distillery built in 2015. The very first gin, the Start Point, was produced in small 60 litre batches and was first released in July 2016.
Salcombe Gin Voyagers Series Mischief by Mark Hix contains 10 botanicals, including ingredients central to Hix’s culinary offering such as orange, bay and cardamom. It also contains wild fennel flowers foraged from the Salcombe shoreline, samphire and sea buckthorn.
Mischief’ is presented in an elegant white ceramic bottle featuring an embossed outline of the iconic gin pennant and a bespoke debossed copper stopper commissioned for this series.
Named ‘Mischief’ after the famous Salcombe Fruit Schooner which was built in 1856.
