Description

Stolen X Rock and Rye is a blend of American rye whiskey with raw honey and orange. It based on a pre-prohibition spirit drink called Rock and Rye and was first launched in 2019.

Stolen X is produced by Stolen Spirits. Founded in 2010 by two New Zealanders, Stolen Spirits and is an independent spirits company that produces four internationally awarded rums, including the world’s first smoked rum, and a whiskey. Stolen Spirits places a strong emphasis on craftsmanship and quality, sourcing their spirits from renowned distilleries and use a meticulous blending and aging process to ensure consistency and excellence in their products.

The pre prohibition drink Rock and Rye was typically made by combining rye whiskey with rock candy or sugar, citrus fruits (usually oranges), and sometimes herbs and spices. The mixture was then allowed to infuse and age, resulting in a smooth and sweer liqueur. It has a long history and has been enjoyed both as a sipping drink and as a remedy for colds and coughs due to its soothing qualities.

As mentioned above Stolen X Rock and Rye is made with a blend of aged straight American Rye Whiskey and all organic, raw honey and real orange peel. The aged rye whiskey and all-natural ingredients create a smooth and perfectly balanced flavour profile similar to that of an Old fashioned.
