La Forza VIII Rum is made by the same people who make The Lovers Rum. It is a multi-country blend of rums from the Caribbean and Latin America
The company behind La Forza VIII rum is called Mr Daiquiri and was founded by Arijit Bose (former brand ambassador for Monkey 47 Gin) and David Cordoba (a former Bacardi brand ambassador AKA Mr Daiquiri).
The label features tarot cards and was inspired by a family tradition of fortune-telling amongst the women in the Cordoba family. The tarot card design displays a myriad of layered symbols that directly connect the characteristics and flavour profile of this rum.
The rum is blended and bottled in Netherlands. Bottled at 47% ABV.
La Forza Rum has intense aromas of toffee and leather polish, that is followed by a rich date cake and Christmas pudding and marzipan, ending with toasted almonds
On the palate a surprising and excitingly bone dry palate contrasts the rich fruity aroma, but still shows all the nose along with touches of liquorice and deep oak spices. These evolve and turn fruity with a very light touch banana and mango.
Finishing with a long and complex finish leaving a velvety texture on the tongue as they draw themselves out with hints of black pepper and nutmeg.
Enjoy this rum neat or in a cocktail such as an Old Fashioned.
