Royal Salute 21 Year Old Scotch Whisky Signature Blend is a blended Scotch whisky produced by Chivas Brothers at their Strathisla distillery located in Keith, Moray in Speyside.

Royal Salute is a luxury, prestige Scotch whisky which was first launched on the 2nd June in 1953 by Chivas Brothers as a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II on the day of her coronation. Queen Elizabeth was presented with the very first bottle decorated with her royal crest. Named after the ceremonial 21-gun salute that is fired from the Tower of London to mark special royal occasions. All Royal Salute whiskies are aged for a minimum of 21 years old. This allows the whisky to develop a rich and complex flavour. It is full bodied, has deep sweet fruit and nut flavours with a smooth dry smokiness.

Chivas Regal were founded in 1786 and the company is headquarted at the Strathisla distillery,  the oldest continuously operating Highland distillery. The Strathisla single malt is the core malt whisky in all Chivas Regal blends along with malts from Longmorn, The Glenlivet, Allt-a-Bhainne, Miltonduff Distillery and Braes of Glenlivet (now Braeval) among other distilleries, and grain from Strathclyde distilleries in the Lowlands.

Royal Salute 21 Year Old Scotch Whisky Signature Blend is bottled in sapphire blue porcelain flagons emblazoned with the Royal Coat of Arms and incorporating the image of Robert the Bruce and bearing a Gaelic motto which translates as ‘fidelity, stability since 1801’
