Laphroaig 10 Year Old Sherry Cask is an Islay Single Malt Whisky that is aged for 10 years and finished in ex Sherry casks.

The Laphroaig Distillery was founded in 1815 by Donald and Alexander Johnston. The distillery is located in the small town of Port Ellen on Islay. The distillery remained in the Johnston family until 1954. Eventually the distillery would be sold off and, via many mergers and acquisitions, today it is owned by the Japanese company, Suntory Holdings. Laphroaig is famous for its peaty style and is known as one of the most richly flavoured Scotch whiskies.

Laphroaig 10 Year Old Sherry Cask is the result of marrying the distillery’s distinctive 10 year old single malt with the sweetness of European oak Oloroso barrels. The 10 year old single malt is rested in carefully selected sherry casks. Each one is carefully chosen to complement and lend complexity to our quintessential single malt. The barrels are crafted from European oak, and previously filled with sweet Oloroso sherry to bring a rich, full-bodied flavour profile to this single malt Scotch.

Notes of Manuka honey, grilled bacon and maple syrup meet the classic peat smoke and seaweed that Laphroaig is famous for.
