Mackmyra Mareld Swedish Single Malt Whisky is part of the Mackmyra Moments range of whiskies, a range of limited edition whiskies specially selected by Master Blender Angela D’Orazio. Sometimes she would come across casks that distinguish themselves from the rest and dreamt of making something really special with these casks. Mackymyra is the new generation of Swedish malt whisky, produced using Swedish ingredients at the Mackmyra Bruk mill, which has a tradition of craftsmanship dating back to the 17th century. Water is sourced from an underground spring fed by the Valboasen Mountain and Swedish Oak is harvested from the island of Visingso. The Whisky is aged in the Bodås mine, 50 metres down inside the primary rock.

Mackmyra Mareld Swedish Single Malt Whisky is the 13th release in the moment range is a smoky Swedish malt whisky finished in former Sherry casks. Each Mackmyra Moment edition comes in a distinguished black carton with a specific colour scheme and a modern bottle design with an engraved metal plaque. Since the number of casks per bottling are so few, the editions in the Moment series are very limited. Mareld translates as “Bioluminescence” or “Fire of the Sea”.
