Cape Mentelle Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot is Cape Mentelle’s premium red blend made from grapes grown in the Margaret River wine growing region of Western Australia. Cape Mentelle is one of the original founding wineries of the Margaret River wine region. It was founded in 1970 in one of the most remote wine regions of the world, the maritime influence of the Indian Ocean ensures even temperatures, providing consistently excellent vintage conditions. Cape Mentelle has pioneered many of the region’s renowned wine styles and today is a benchmark for the quality of the region’s wines. Cape Mentelle today has over 200 hectares of its own vines across four regional vineyards.

Cape Mentelle Cabernet Merlot is very much their Bordeaux Blend and is a blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Petitie Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels.
