Discover Four Vines The Biker Zinfandel, a standout Paso Robles Zinfandel that roars with rebellious spirit and rich, fruit-forward character. Hailing from the renowned Paso Robles AVA in San Luis Obispo County, California, this bold red wine embodies the region’s ideal warm-climate conditions for producing powerful, spicy Zinfandels.
Crafted by Purple Wine + Spirits (based in Graton, West Sonoma County), Four Vines has long been known as the “wine rebels” of California. Led by veteran winemaker Antonio Treviño, the team rebelled against the mainstream trends of overly oaky Chardonnays, flabby Merlots, and underwhelming Pinots. Instead, they focused on sourcing exceptional old-vine fruit and creating unapologetically delicious wines. As their ethos declares, it’s all about earning that “much-deserved Rock Star status” through quality and personality.
The Four Vines portfolio centres heavily on Zinfandel, with four quirky, memorable bottlings: Truant, Biker, Maverick, and Sophisticate. (They also produce a clean, unoaked “Naked” Chardonnay for variety.)
Four Vines Biker Zinfandel is a blend of 83% old-vine Zinfandel from Paso Robles (Dusi and Preston vineyards), 9% Petit Sirah (Durif), 7% Primitivo, and 1% Syrah.
The wines is aged for 14 months in American, French and Hungarian oak barrels, 30% of which are new. Bottled for bad boys and bold palates.
