Louis Jadot Savigny Les Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Guettes is a single vineyard 1er Cru red wine that is owned by the Gagey family, Pierre-Henry Gagey became president of Maison Louis Jadot in 1992. Savigny Les Beaune is a wine-growing village par excellence, to the north of and adjacent to Beaune. The vineyard faces south / south-east, east and north-east. It is situated at a height of between 220 and 360m. The chalky soils are gravely or stony, light and not very fertile. “Les Guettes” lies in the middle of the commune, near the village of Savigny. Savigny produces exclusively red wines (90%) under the village and premier cru appellations. The vineyard has south, south-east, east and north-east exposure and is situated between 220 and 360m. The chalk soil is gravely or stony, light and infertile. 100% Pinot Noir, fermentation takes vats during 3-4 weeks, after which they are aged in wooden barrels for an average of 12-15 months before being bottled.
