Description

Champagne Louis Roederer Carte Blanche is a Demi Sec Champagne, it is richer and sweeter than the standard Champagne Louis Roederer brut Premier. Champagne Louis Roederer is one of the few remaining completely independent, family owned Champagne houses. By 1886 the House had achieved such a reputation for quality that the second Louis Roederer was asked by Tsar Alexander II to create Cristal for the exclusive use of the Russian Tsars, and in so doing created the first Cuvée de Prestige. Roederer owns just over 200 hectares of vineyards located in the finest areas of Champagne – Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs. Louis Roederer Carte Blanche is slightly sweet, smooth and creamy; an ideal dessert wine. A sugar dosage gives the wine a pleasant sweetness without masking its complexity and elegance. Champagne Louis Roederer Carte Blanche Demi Sec NV is a blend of 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier. 5% of wines are matured in oak casks with weekly batonnage – 10% of reserve wines are matured in casks – the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation. Champagne Louis Roederer Carte Blanche Demi Sec all 3 Champagne grape varieties from more than 40 different vineyard plots. The wine is an assemblage of 6 years of harvesting, a part of which comes from the Louis Roederer reserve wine collection, matured in oak casks for several years. It is matured for 3 years in the cellar and rested for 6 months after disgorgement to perfect maturity. Dosage 38 g/l.
