Description

Bouchard Pere & Fils Bourgogne Chardonnay La Vignee is produced from grapes grown around the Burgundy region.

Maison Bouchard Père er Fils is one of the oldest producers and vineyard owners in the Cote d’Or. A family wine merchant business was first established by Michel Bouchard and his son Joseph in Beaune in 1731. Eventually, the family’s first vineyards were purchased in Volnay in 1791 from the French Revolutionary Government, and so began a long history of gathering fine ‘Terroirs’. In 1995 Bouchard Père et Fils was bought by Joseph Henriot, whose family have been growers and producers in Champagne for over 200 years. Since then Joseph Henriot has taken every opportunity to continue the Bouchard family tradition of investing in fine vineyards.

The grapes for the Bouchard Pere & Fils Bourgogne Chardonnay La Vignee are purchased from growers around Burgundy who make a commitment to respecting Bouchard Père & Fils’ strict quality criteria. In return Bouchard pass on all their expertise so that the grape selection conforms to our requirements. The vineyards are situated on limestone and clay soils. Depending on the profile of the vintage, the wine is aged for 7 to 8 months in French oak for 10 to 25% of the harvest, the rest in stainless steel vats.
