Description

Louis Jadot Meursault Les Tillets is located in the Cote de Beaune wine-growing region of Burgundy.

The “Les Tillet” vineyard is located almost at the top of one of the hills that sit overlooking the village of Meursault close to the Naurvaux vineyard. The sloping vineyards have a south / south-east exposure with clayey and brown limestone topsoils over hard limestone. Louis Jadot Meursault Les Tillets is described, by Jadot, as being close to their Puligny-Montrachet la Garenne in terms of vibrancy. The wine is aged for 15 months in oak barrels prior to bottling and can be kept for up to 10 years or so, if cellar correctly.  It is a very lively, very fresh with a lot of minerality, elegant and well-balanced.

If you are wondering what “Les Tillets” means, Tillet was a kind of medieval lime tree that was found surrounding vineyards in the region.
