Description

Vina Romale Verdejo Semidulce is a semi-sweet (semidulce) white wine bottled as a Vino de la Tierra Extremadura. Bodegas Romale was founded in 1989 and is located in the town of Almendralejo in the heart of the DO Ribera del Guadiana appellation. Romale source their grapes from a number of growers in the region of Tierra de Barros. The vineyards cover some 300 hectares and are all under the direct control of the Bodega’s technical staff. The winery itself is one of the most modern and innovative in Extremadura and DO Ribera del Guadiana. Vina Romale Verdejo Semidulce is made from 100% Verdejo grapes. Verdejo originated in the Rueda wine-growing region of Spain and produces quite aromatic wines. A superb white wine for anyone who likes their wine on the sweeter side. Vina Romale Verdejo Semidulce is presented in a rather eye-catching blue glass bottle.

Serve With

Vina Romale Verdejo Semidulce is a great match for fish, white meat, pasta dishes, rice, foie gras and desserts.

Tasting Notes

Vina Romale Verdejo Semidulce is straw yellow in colour. The nose is complex with tropical fruit aromas including pineapple, apricot and floral notes. The palate is fresh and has good citrus character, there is a hint of creaminess and plenty more fruity flavours. The finish is quite sweet but it is balanced by some good acidity.
