Description

Dr Loosen “Dr Lo” Alcohol-Removed Riesling is a premium German alcohol-free Riesling from the Mosel Valley. Made from 100% Riesling grapes, it delivers the fresh, fruity character of a classic Riesling with less than 0.5% ABV. This non-alcoholic white wine is ideal for those seeking a lower-alcohol alternative without compromising on flavour.

Light, aromatic, and refreshing, it is a versatile alcohol-free white wine that pairs well with a wide range of dishes, particularly spicy cuisine, seafood and light meals.

How Is Dr Loosen “Dr Lo” Riesling Alcohol-Removed Wine Made?

It Begins With High Quality Grapes

This alcohol-free Riesling from Germany is first produced as a traditional wine using high-quality Mosel grapes. The base wine is naturally low in alcohol, with bright acidity and the grape’s inherent sweetness, without any added sugar.

The alcohol is then gently removed using vacuum distillation, a modern process that operates at low temperatures to preserve the wine’s delicate aromas and fresh fruit character. Because the wine already retains its natural sweetness, there is no need to add grape must after dealcoholisation.

Dr Loosen “Dr Lo” Riesling Vinification

  • 100% Riesling grapes

  • Produced in stainless steel tanks

  • Fermentation stopped early to retain natural grape sugars

  • Alcohol removed via vacuum distillation

  • Suitable for vegans and vegetarians

Why Should I Buy Non-Alcoholic Wine?

Non-alcoholic wine offers the flavour, aroma, and social experience of traditional wine without the effects of alcohol. It’s a great choice if you’re looking to reduce your alcohol intake, avoid hangovers, or enjoy a glass while driving, working, or maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Made from real wine, Dr Loosen “Dr Lo” Riesling Alcohol-Removed retains much of the character and food-pairing versatility, making it ideal for social occasions or everyday drinking. Overall, it provides a flexible, lower-calorie alternative that lets you enjoy wine on your own terms.

Made by Winemaking Legend Dr Ernst Loosen

The Dr Loosen estate, a family-owned winery for over 200 years, came under Ernst Loosen’s stewardship in 1988. Recognising the potential of ungrafted vines averaging 60 years old in some of Germany’s top-rated vineyards, Ernst saw the opportunity to craft world-class, intensely flavoured wines using these exceptional raw materials.

To realise this vision, Ernst implemented significant changes, including drastically reducing crop sizes to enhance grape quality and ceasing chemical fertilisation in favour of moderate organic fertilisers. Most crucially, he adopted gentler cellar practices, minimising handling and technological intervention to allow the wines to express their potential fully.

Dr Loosen is consistently ranked among the top ten wine estates in Germany, alongside such renowned producers as J.J. Prüm, Fritz Haag, Egon Müller, Robert Weil and Hermann Dönnhoff.
