Foursquare Epilogue Single Blended Rum is the very last bottling, bottling Mark XXXI, in Foursquare’s legendary Exceptional Cask Selection series, created by fourth-generation master distiller Richard Seale.
N.B. Available for despatch or collection on or after Wednesday 15th July 2026.
Epilogue single blended rum, a blend of Rums distilled in the copper double retort pot-still and the continuous twin column stills of the Foursquare Rum Distillery, and then aged for a minimum of nineteen years in ex-Bourbon, American White Oak casks.
Epilogue develops extraordinary concentration, depth and complexity while remaining beautifully integrated despite its powerful 57% ABV. Like every release in the Exceptional Cask Selection series, Epilogue contains no added sugar, colouring, flavourings or sweeteners, allowing the quality of the distillate and cask maturation to speak for themselves.
Foursquare Epilogue is available to buy at Fareham Wine Cellar. This is the final, unforgettable toast to a landmark era in Barbados rum. Secure your bottle as the curtain comes down on Foursquare’s Exceptional Cask Selection. An outstanding addition to any premium rum collection.
This exceptional single blended rum marries the bold character of Foursquare’s copper double-retort pot still and continuous twin-column still distillates. Aged for 19 years under tropical Barbados conditions in ex-bourbon, American White Oak barrels.
Tasting notes
Aromas of grapefruit, caramelised orange, toffee, nougat, butterscotch, and brown butter; palate of dark chocolate, ripe tropical fruit, oak, caramel, and orange peel; finish that is long and complex with lingering oak, tobacco, cocoa, and dried fruit.
Serve neat in a quality whisky or rum glass at room temperature to appreciate its full aromatic complexity. A few drops of water can help reveal additional layers of tropical fruit, spice and oak.
Foursquare Rum is made at one of Barbados’ most celebrated distilleries, operated by R L Seale, a family-owned trading house with an unbroken rum-making heritage stretching back to 1820. At its helm today is Richard Seale, master distiller and one of the Caribbean’s most outspoken champions of honest, transparent rum labelling. Alongside the Foursquare range, Richard also produces the much-loved Doorly’s and R L Seale expressions, making the Seale family one of the most influential forces in contemporary Bajan rum.
The Foursquare Distillery occupies the site of a sugar factory that has stood since 1636, though the operation today is anything but antiquated. Recognised as one of the most energy-efficient and environmentally responsible rum distilleries in the world, it has claimed the International Spirits Challenge Rum Producer of the Year title for an extraordinary ten consecutive years.
Production begins with locally sourced Barbadian molasses, which undergoes a slow, 44-hour fermentation before distillation in both pot and column stills. The pot still contributes the depth, character, and complexity that define the Foursquare style; the column still brings balance, precision, and aromatic lift, a combination that gives these rums their distinctive layered character.
The Exceptional Cask Selection has become one of the most respected premium rum series in the world. Every release is bottled in limited quantities and demonstrates Richard Seale’s philosophy of producing authentic Barbados rum without additives.
Unlike many commercial rums, every ECS bottling is:
These qualities have earned Foursquare countless international awards and made the distillery one of the benchmarks for premium rum worldwide.

Natural dark amber with mahogany depth in the glass.
The nose is immediately complex and inviting: dried pineapple, raisins, orange peel, and ripe cherries layered with marzipan, dark chocolate, caramel, and a rich leathery undertone.
On the palate, it is big and mouth-filling, with a silky, almost oily texture that belies the 57% ABV: sultanas, honeycomb, and soft citrus (orange and a delicate squeeze of lemon) weave through notes of buttery toffee, tobacco, and more dark chocolate.
The finish is long and elegant, with honey, dried pineapple, and molasses cake lingering alongside that characteristic oily richness that marks the very finest aged Barbados rum.
Epilogue was Awarded “Gold Outstanding” at the 2026 International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC)
