The Partagas Capitols are part of Habanos S.A. La Linea Retro range, a retro range of cigars and packaging which is reminiscent of Cuban cigars that were popular in the 1970s. The Capitols are presented in a suitably retro tin of 5 cigars; however, we also sell them as single cigars too. 

The famous Partagas Cigar factory was opened in 1845 by Don Jaime Partagas Ravelas in the heart of Havana City. For many years this Factory was located at 520 Industria Street, right behind the Havana’s Capitol, in the heart of the city. Today, the Factory is located at 806 San Carlos Street.

Partagas Capitols are a Petit Corona sized cigar which is one of the most popular cigar sizes. It is the same size as the Romeo Y Julieta No 2, Montecristo No 4 and Bolivar Petit Corona for example. It is named after a Partagas machine made cigar also called the Capitol which was popular in the 1970s before it was discontinued in the mid-1980s.

Today Partagas Capitols La Linea Retro are handmade cigars made from specially selected tobaccos form the Vuelta Abajo. “Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Larga”- Totally Handmade with Long Filler. Partagas are full bodied cigars characterised by deep, earthy flavours. 

Presented in a tin of 5 cigars with a flip-top lid which is activated by pressing the logo on the front,  inspired by pocket cigar cases that were much in vogue in the 1970s.
