Plasencia Reserva Original Corona cigars are made at the famous Plasencia Cigars Factory which is located to the north of Managua in Nicaragua. The Plasencia Reserva Original range are the only cigars in the world to be made with 100% Certified Organic Tobacco. This long, slender and elegant cigar is made from 100% Nicaraguan tobacco from the Esteli & Jalapa regions of Nicaragua.

The company was initially founded by Don Eduardo Plasencia who emigrated from The Canary islands in 1865 to Cuba and began to grow tobacco. The farm remained in family hands until it was confiscated by Fidel Castro’s regime in 1963. Don Elder Sixto and his family fled to Mexico and and ended up in Nicaragua in 1965 where he planted some of his best seeds. The farms were burned by The Sandinistas in 1978 and the family fled to Honduras where Nestor Plasencia entered the cigar business. Eventually, in 1990, the family would return to Nicaragua and re-start the business they were forced to leave. Plasencia are now the largest tobacco grower in world. They launched their first cigars under the Plasencia brand in 2017.
