Chateau Lynch Bages 2006 75cl.

Chateau Lynch Bages is located in the Pauillac wine growing appellation of Bordeaux and was classified as a Fifth Growth in the Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855. However, itconsistently out-performs its humble Fifth Growth status.

Chateau Lynch Bages was founded in 1749 by Irishman Thomas Lynch and is currently owned by the Famille JM Cazes. The estate consists of 90 hectares of vineyard located just outside of the town of Pauillac. The vineyards are principally made up of deep gravel beds over limestone and are planted with 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. There is also an 11 acre plot of white grape varieties for their superb Blanc de Lynch Bages.

Chateau Lynch Bages 2006 is a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot. Aged in French oak barrels for 15 months (70% new wood)
