Rosemount Mountain Blue Shiraz / Cabernet Sauvignon is one of Rosemount wines flagship red wines made from grapes sourced from the Mudgee wine-growing region of Australia. Rosemount Estate was founded in 1969 by Bob Oatley and eventually became Australia’s largest family-owned winery until it merged with Southcorp Wines in 2001 who, in turn, merged with Foster’s Group in 2005. It is currently owned by Treasury Wine Estates. Rosemount wines is based in the Hunter and South Australian wine growing regions. Rosemount Mountain Blue 2006 is a blend of 83% Shiraz and 17% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from a single vineyard in Mudgee. It is aged for 15 months in a mix of French and American oak, some new and some used.
