Description

Champagne Henriot Brut Millesime 2003 is Henriot’s vintage release of Vintage Champagne.

The Henriot family can trace their lineage back to 1640 in Reims where they worked in textile and wine brokerage, however Champagne Henriot was not officially founded until 1808 by Apolline Henriot. Champagne Henriot became a huge success with royalty and was a favourite at the Dutch and Austrian courts and with the Hapsburgs in Hungary. House of Henriot is one of last independent and family-owned Champagne producers and is devoted to creating the most superb wines from grapes carefully selected from the great “terroirs” on the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs. Champagne Henriot Brut Millesime 2003 is the result of unusual weather conditions in Champagne which has produced a complex cuvee dominated by black fruit. The main Chardonnay growing vineyards were largely destroyed by hard frosts in the spring followed by very hot weather in August. This led to loss of a great number of bunches but the remaining grapes were rich and concentrated.

A mature and supple Champagne that not only reflects the 2003 vintage but also the Champagne Henriot house style. It is a blend of 52% Chardonnay and 48% Pinot Noir. Dosage 10g/L.
