Torres Natureo White is a non-alcoholic white wine made in Spain. It is made from Muscat grapes.
Torres Natureo wines are the result of much research and this wine is very much at the forefront of high-quality de-alcoholised wines available today. According to Torres, this wine has “less than 0.0% alcohol and less than half the calories of a normal wine.”
Familia Torres Wines has been making wine in the ancient Catalán town of Vilafranca del Penedès, southwest of Barcelona, since the 17th Century. It is this tradition combined with innovation, dynamism and commitment to quality that has put Torres firmly on the world map. They remain one of the largest family-owned and run wine companies in the world (there is also Miguel Torres Chile and Marimar Torres in California) and, under the stewardship of fourth-generation Miguel Torres they are committed to sustainable viticulture and green practices. Today Torres not only have vineyards in their home region of Penedes, but all over Spain in regions such as Priorat, Rioja and Rueda. In 2006 Torres was awarded European Winery of the Year in Wine Enthusiast’s Annual Wine Star Awards. The Torres family is also one of the founding members of Primum Familiae Vini.
To begin with, Torres Natureo White is made like a normal white wine. It is made from 100% Muscat (Muscat de Alxexandra). After harvest the grapes undergo an alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vat at 14 to 16C for 2 weeks. After this, the wine then undergoes a de-alcoholisation process. Only the alcohol is removed from the Muscat wine thereby preserving the full aromas, flavour and freshness of the wine.
Perfect for all occasions for non-drinkers, designated drivers, everyone! Ideal for dry January. There is also a Natureo Red and Rose version.
This wine is also vegetarian and vegan friendly.
Torres Natureo White has a pale yellow colour. Delicate floral (orange blossom) and fruit (reinette apple) aromas. Soft and lightly effervescent on the palate with an exquisite citrusy finish (quince).
Excellent as an aperitif. Wonderful with all kinds of fish, seafood, and rice dishes. Serve at 8–10ºC.
