Silverback Wild Strawberry Gin is made by infusing Silverback Gin with fragrant, wild strawberries. It a fruity and refreshing summer gin produced by the Gorilla Spirits Co.

The Gorilla Spirits Co. was founded by Andy Daniels and was born out of a passion for wishing to produce high-quality, artisan spirits while also supporting conservation efforts. Andy spent four years perfecting the Mountain Strength Gin recipe until the first release in 2015. The original distillery was located in Four Marks near Alton but, needing more space, they relocated to the village of Upton Grey, southeast of Basingstoke, in the summer of 2018. As of 2024, the spirits are made at the Spirit of Manchester Distillery.

As well as this fabulous flavoured gin they also produce various other gins, including Silverback Mountain Strength, an Old Tom Gin, Blackback Vodka, Karisimbi Spiced Rum and Maraba coffee liqueurs. Their products have received many awards and accolades for their quality and craftsmanship.

The base gin for the Silverback Wild Strawberry Gin is the normal Silverback Gin. This is a small batch gin made using a pure wheat base spirit as a clean background spirit to allow the expression of the botanicals. The gin is distilled in Gorilla Spirits’ copper still which is nicknamed Mugwaneza (which means “she who is content” in Kinrwandan). The botanicals in Silverback Gin include Juniper, Coriander, Angelica, Sweet Orange, Calamus Root, Acacia Blossom and Lemongrass. After the gin has been distilled and rested, it is infused and blended with wild strawberries to create this modern, fruity, strawberry-flavoured gin with an attractive bright pink / orange colour. Bottled at 38% ABV.

For every bottle of Silverback Wild Strawberry Gin sold in the UK, Gorilla Spirits add GAT (Gorilla Added Tax). For each bottle sold, 10% of the profits go directly to The Gorilla Organization who are working to save the last remaining gorillas from extinction.

Each bottle is made from 100% post consumer recycled glass, meaning that it is made from the glass that all of us have put into our recycling bins!
