Judas Priest Dark Spiced Rum is a premium spiced rum inspired by and made in collaboration with the iconic heavy metal band Judas Priest. It was the first alcoholic drink to feature the Judas Priest name. It was first released in 2019 and was a limited edition of 5000 bottles. It is produced by Brands For Fans.

Brands For Fans is a Swedish company that is a leader in the marketing and sales of alcoholic beverages produced by and in conjunction with many world-famous artists and bands. The company has collaborated with bands and artists such as Ghost, HammerFall, In Flames, Jonas Åkerlund, Judas Priest, KISS, Motörhead, Rammstein, Scorpions, Slayer and Sweden Rock Festival.

A press statement from the band stated, “We are thrilled to announce the release of a new rum produced together with Brands For Fans. The complex nature of this new blend and the general versatility of rum go hand in hand with the music produced by us over the last 50 years. It’s rum with a touch of evil.”

There is not much information about the rum but it appears to be rum made in the Dominican Republic and spiced and bottled in Sweden. Based on a classic molasses rum, this Spiced Rum convinces with spices and sweetish notes. This spiced rum packs a punch, with spicy notes of arrack, vanilla, burnt sugar and raisins. At 37.5% ABV, it’s a warming and smooth rum with layers of flavours to discover whilst also remaining easily drinkable.

The label and packaging of the Judas Priest Dark Spiced Rum pay homage to the band’s iconic imagery, featuring their iconic logo and artwork. The artwork and colours of the label are very similar to the band’s 2018 album “Firepower” which has led to the rum being known as Judas Priest Firepower Rum.  This is a visually striking and collectable item for fans of Judas Priest and rum enthusiasts alike.
