Charles Tobias lived an extraordinary life: a decorated U.S. Marine Corps fighter pilot who survived being shot down in Vietnam, he later built a multi-million-dollar technology company before walking away to sail around the world on a five-year voyage. In 1979, he famously persuaded the British Admiralty to share the centuries-old official Royal Navy rum recipe, founding Pusser’s Rum to revive the legendary spirit while donating royalties to Royal Navy charities until his passing.

Nose: Rich, warm and inviting. The rum opens with a seductive core of dark caramel and creamy vanilla, with aromatic island baking spices, rich dried fruits and hints of toasted oak.
Palate: Generous, textured and well-balanced in the mouth. Bright tropical fruit opens into a deep, structured core of warm spice, toasted wood, and dark dried fruit. Balanced by a seamless blend of wooden pot and column distillation, it delivers exceptional depth and rich texture without feeling heavy.
Finish: Long, structured, and sophisticated, finishing in a distinctive, Cognac-like (rancio) elegance that lingers softly on the palate.
Bottled at a robust 47.75% ABV (95.5 Proof) and featuring rums aged for up to ten years, this strength preserves the rum’s natural viscosity, rich mouthfeel and full aromatic intensity.
