Zuccardi La Fuerza Vermouth Blanco is a white vermouth made in Argentina from 100% Torrontes grapes and over 30 Andean herbs and botanicals.
Zuccardi Wines was founded by Alberto “Tito” Zuccardi. Zuccardi was an engineer who had arrived in Mendoza from the Tucuman province of northwestern Argentina where his Italian grandparents had settled. Zuccardi was primarily working on irrigation systems which are very important in a region with minimal rainfall. In order to demonstrate his irrigation system he planted a vineyard in Maipu in 1963. This was the Zuccardi family’s entry into the world of wine. Construction of their first winery began in 1968. Zuccardi was followed into the business by his son, Jose, in 1976 and Jose’s son, Sebastian, now the Zuccardi winemaker, joined the family business in 2002. As well as producing some of Argentina’s very best wines, they also produce Port-style wines (Malamado and Soleria) and this fabulous vermouth.
La Fuerza Vermouth was created by four men from different parts of the drinks industry: third-generation winemaker Sebastian Zuccardi, food and beverage developer Agustin Camps, restaurateur, chef and sommelier Julian Diaz and journalist / entrepreneur Martin Auzmendi. The four men shared a common dream of creating a “Vermouth of the Andes” or “Vermu do los Andes”. They produce both a red and a white vermouth. The red Vermouth is based on Malbec grapes and the white version is based on Torrontes grapes.
Each bottle of La Fuerza Vermouth contains four ingredients: wine, botanicals, natural herbs, wine brandy and natural grape must. The wine and grape brandy is made in Mendoza, botanicals are from different parts of the country and the wild herbs are collected at the Andes foothills. The Vermouth is made and bottled in Mendoza.

This white vermouth is great in a long drink, ice soda water or ginger beer and a slice of lemon. It is also great in a White Negroni. Try in a Chacarita Spritz.
75ml La Fuerza Blanco
15ml soda water
Dry pear cider or perry
Pear
Fill a large wine glass with ice, add La Fuerza Blanco, top up with soda water and pear cider. Stir carefully to mix and garnish with a couple of slices of pear.
Ingredients:
• La Fuerza Blanco (75ml)
• Lemon juice (15ml)
• Pineapple juice (30ml)
• Tonic water (60ml)
• An eighth of a lemon to
garnish
• Coriander leaves
Method:
Place 8 coriander leaves in the glass along with the lemon and pineapple juice. Crush gently Add ice and La Fuerza Blanco. Integrate. Complete with tonic
water. Stir again slightly so as not to lose the bubbles. Garnish and enjoy!
Try with mild, creamy cheeses.
