Description

Marc Bredif Vouvray Classic presented in a 37.5cl Half Bottle.

With its majestic cellars in the heart of the Touraine, Marc Brédif has been one of the most famous Vouvray and Chinon houses since 1893. When Baron Patrick de Ladoucette took over the house in 1980, he breathed new life into the century old winery, while preserving its traditions. Today, Marc Brédif continues to produce Vouvray and Chinon wines of the finest quality. The history of the wines of Vouvray is directly linked to the religious history of Touraine. From the 4th century onwards, the monks owned most of the vineyards, including the best growths. The cellars of Marc Brédif are among the biggest and most beautiful of the appellation and the digging of the tuffe hillsides to make them began in the 8th Century.

Marc Bredif Vouvray Classic undergoes temperature controlled fermentation to retain its fresh structure and aromatic finish and is then matured on its lees for a further 6 months prior to release.

Why buy half bottles of Marc Bredif Vouvray Classic? They are perfect for a glass or two at lunchtime or if you want to open a bottle of wine on one’s own and a whole bottle is just too much!

Tasting Notes

Marc Bredif Vouvray Classic is a beautiful crystalline pale yellow. A fine nose reminiscent of well-ripe yellow fruits (peach and pear), to which are added notes of exotic fruits such as pineapple and shades of citrus. The attack is full and rich, with a lot of volume, evolving on a lemony freshness and long and lively exotic fruit finish.
