Bolivar Tubos No 2 are a Petit Corona sized cigar, one of the most popular sizes of Cuban cigars. They are the same size as the Romeo y Julieta No 2 and Montecristo No 4, and are known as “Mareva” cigars at the factory.
Founded in 1902 by José Fernández Rocha, Bolivar Cigars is named after Simón Bolivar, the 19th-century revolutionary who liberated much of South America from Spanish rule. Produced at the renowned Partagas factory in Havana, Bolivar cigars are crafted with premium Vuelta Abajo tobacco for filler and binder, known for its unrivalled quality. All Bolivar cigars are tripa larga, totalmente a mano—long filler, totally handmade—ensuring exceptional construction and consistency. The Bolivar No. 2 Cigar starts with a creamy, medium-to-full body, offering earthy, leathery, and strong coffee notes, highlighted by pepper and butter. The smoke then smooths out in the middle, bringing in caramelised sugar, cedar, and a slight bitterness for added complexity and balance. The final part becomes milder, focusing on creamy tobacco, roasted nuts, and lasting earthy flavours, producing a dark-grey ash and ample smoke.
