Clos Martin XO 15 year old Folle Blanche, Bas Armagnac 40%

In contrast to the Cognac, Clos Martin Armagnac is fuller, richer and spicier in style with hints of vanilla, cinnamon, dried orange peel and just a touch of tobacco leaf. The flavour is very fine, rich plum fruit with elements of vanilla, coffee and dried figs.

Cardenal Mendoza Solera Gran Reserva (15 year old), Bodegas Sanches Romate Hnos. 42% 70cl

Cardenal Mendoza Clasico Solera Gran Reserva is aged in old Pedro Ximenez sherry casks which give the brandy complexity and sweetness. It is a clear, dark mahogany colour. There are aromas of raisins and plums, espresso coffee and a touch of liquorice on the nose. The palate is sweet and fat with lots of dried fruit and more raisins. Distinctive, unique taste with a very cultured PX influence and just enough bittersweet coffee and caramel to balance well. Well-balanced, long and nutty.
